THE tree

We decorated the tree on Sunday afternoon! I think it looks really nice this year! The pic is a little disappointing since you can't see the twinkling white glow from the lights! One of my favorite things about it is that we have a great window in the front of the house so you can see it from the street! So here are my sweethearts in front of the tree!
no. of days tree has been decorated: 2
no. of ornaments broken: 2

I will keep you posted as we progress through the holiday season with Mark Destructo! He loves the ball ornaments, and they slip off their hangers so easily that he steals them and carries them around the house. He really likes bears, so I pointed out all the ornaments that were bears. Bad idea! Today I found him making a ceramic bear ornament "dance" on the tile floor! Poor little bear lost his tail and half of his back. I have to commend the bear for making it through about ten or so bangs/dance steps before I could rush in to see what the banging glass noise was! The second casualty was a glass football ornament; he threw it, again, onto the tile!
We also lost one of the wise men from our nativity set! I think Mark had something to do with that too! Good news! He has been found and returned to his rightful place of eternally guarding baby Jesus! What would we have done with only 2 shephards?!! I shudder at the blasphemy!

Thankful

Not much going on here! We are glad to have made it through "turkey fest 2006". We had 6 meals of turkey, dressing, cranberry, pie, and what ever else goes with Thanksgiving dinner! It was yummy, but I can safely say that I don't really care to have any more turkey and dressing until next year!

This pic is not of Thanksgiving, but it is something that I am thankful for every day!

Come on Batman! We've got work to do!

As soon as we let the boys into their costumes, Mitchell yelled, "Come on Batman! We've got work to do!" I don't know where he got it, but it was pretty funny! Mark's favorite part about his costume was the wings on his arms. He would run around and flap them. Mitchell loved his cape. We bought the costume in September, and I let him wear only the cape before Halloween (so he could practice flying)! Enjoy the pics, and thank Andrea for encouraging me to post them!

My sister and I got into the "Trick or Treat" decorating and drew halloween scenes all over the drive way. (That is our drive way Neil and the boys are walking up.) I could not find my CD of scary sounds to play as the kids walked up to the door. I did, however, find a CD with "Thriller" and played that on repeat for the entire evening! When Mark heard it he started crying; when I heard it I started dancing!! I am sure the neighbors loved it too!
