Neil requested that I share this with our blog friends! We just finished putting new flooring down in our kitchen. It is a peel and stick vinyl tile that looks like stone tile. I was very skeptical of putting huge stickers on our floor. Mostly I did not care because we are putting the house on the market a week from today so, if we messed it up or did not like it, it would only be our floor for a few more months! It actually looks pretty good! Now we wonder why we didn't do it earlier so we could enjoy it longer! Neil is so proud and protective of it that he picks up any speck he sees on the floor. Maybe it is good we will only have it for a short time, he would probably drive me crazy!
We started the process on Sunday night at 10:00 pm after the babies were sleeping! I thought, "You crazy man, what are you getting us into?" We ran out of tiles at about 1:00 am so we were able to get some sleep. Tuesday night I finished up the wall edging by myself while Neil was working, then on Wednesday night we stayed up together and finished the pantry floor and under the refrigerator! It was actually kind of fun working together on a home project. We have not done any improvement projects together since we finished up the "moving- in" updates when we bought the house 3 years ago! Even though we had to stay up until 2 am a few nights it was nice spending time together working and talking!
Pray for us! We are starting the moving process! We will be leaving Alabama on Sunday and heading to Oklahoma for an entire month! Neil will be doing an externship at Baptist Hospital. While in OK our house will be on the market here and we will be looking for a new one there. We have been very busy getting our house ready to sell. We have been sorting our junk and packing up the closets and trying to fix a few things. This week we have to do finishing touches, pack for our month long "vacation", and leave the house in "viewing" condition so someone will hopefully want to buy it! AAAhhh! I should not really be on the computer, I should be vacuuming the house to prepare for the carpet cleaners tomorrow! I am not sure I want to risk waking up the kids since it is 11:00 pm. Well, that is the reason you have not heard from us in a while!

paper airplanes
Mitchell was sitting in the floor the other night coloring in a notepad and tearing out each page he colored on. I sat down with him and thought, "What can we do with all of this paper on the floor?" Hoping for a cool mom moment I quietly made a paper airplane. I said, "Look Mitchell, watch this airplane." I threw the airplane. He glanced up, but was not really impressed. He colored a little more. I tried a second prototype, "Watch this one." The second airplane took an immediate nose dive. He grabbed a piece of paper and said, "Mommy watch this airplane." I watched with anticipation as he stood up, waded the paper, and dropped it on the floor. Huh, not what I was expecting!
He threw a few more paper ball planes. I threw a few more folded paper planes. He was still not getting it. Mark joined us and helped make my airplanes look more like Mitchell's. Mitchell disappeared into his room for a moment and came back with a small model space shuttle. "Watch this one Mommy!" as he dropped and it crashed to the floor! OH! - my cool mom moment crashed with it! Actually it was probably a good little science experiment, but it had to be cut short because the small metal space shuttle's flight plan kept inching dangerously close to Mark's head!

Mitchell's Valentines Day party
candy night!
Aunt Shell came to visit this weekend and we partied "heart"-y! On Saturday night we watched the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. You can't watch it with out eating candy, so we made marshmello "things" with toothpics and ate valentine chocolate! Mitchell was in a daze and kept laying on us saying, "I'm not sick, Mommy". We started the movie during dinner but it got interrupted by baths and Mark's bed time, so it was about 10:30 by the time we got finished watching it!
