mother's day pics

Ever look at a pic and wonder who those people are? I feel that way about this pic. Is that really me with those 3 kids? They are mine? Like, I am old and have three children and I am their sole care taker? Oh wow!
Like all the matching? I scored a new dress when we bought the kids Easter outfits and just wore it for the first time. I told Neil I would need it to match all the kids outfits when we take pictures. Neil was a very good sport the morning we took this pic. I got everyone dressed and then saw that Neil was wearing a red and navy plad shirt! I thought to myself, " That just won't work in the impromptu family pictures we will be taking today after church. How do I tell a grown man that he must change his shirt with out making him mad?" I don't remember what I said, but to his credit he was not too put out and made some very good clothing choices to match the family. What a great gift to give your wife on mother's day - patience and cooperation in a hair brained scheme to take a family picture when it is nap time.

new stuff

"It's about time!" I know that is what you are all thinking as you finally see a new post! I will update you in pictures!

Mitchell

Playing T-ball. Enlarge the pic and you can see the ball mid-air. Cool photo skills huh? He still needs to work on his follow through. I walked past this on the floor a few times before I realized it was art and not just a pile of toys. "It's all the super hero stuff, Mom. You know, just in case!"

Mark

We are not sure what Mark will be when he grows up, but he will know how to dress the part, what ever the job! He showed up outside one day "goin comando", and wearing a knight costume that in the sun looked oddly like an evening gown! Second pic, "Crack Kills"! Nough said!
Megan

She sits! She eats! She goes to Bible class! She is about to crawl!
Watch out world!
Arts Festival
Gi Gi
"This is the way we roll, we roll! This is the way we roll! I'm rollin'!"
The nurses in the hallway thought we were so cute they insisted we take a picture! This is the day before GiGi was able to go home! Yeah!

Birthday Party Extravaganza

On April 5th we had a combined b-day party for Mitchell and Mark. Yes, a month ago and I am just now posting pics. Well, you see, Neil's Grandma came from Nashville to visit and be at the party, and the night before she was supposed to go home she fell and broke her hip. I did not think it was right to post pics of the fun day we had a the party while she was in pain awaiting surgery in the hospital so I waited. Then I got busy with a few projects and just did not have time! So here they are! Happy Birthday Sweet Boys!

Sandbox fun! Mark and Joy as Shrek and Donkey!
"Get the gummy bugs out of the swamp" game. 2nd pic -Just wanted you to see what it looked like to have two kids opening gifts at the same time with all their friends around! Chaos really!
Shrek pinata! Yes, we beat our pinatas. We don't go for the wimpy pull the string thing! It's more fun if there is the fear of sending someone to the emergency room for stitches! I did buy a foam covered bat though! 2nd pic - Mitchell and his first piece of artwork on the new easel!
Megan slept through the party or was held by grandad. Here she is hanging out on party day! Since Grandad held her most of the day she did not get to wear a bow! I think her head looks naked!

photo dump two

Aparently I have a habit of finding odd things in the back of pictures and zooming in on them. I found this one floating around in my screen saver slide show from our family New Year's party in 2004. It is my grandma. Pretty funny don't you think? Even funnier if you know her!
BTW - I am pretty sure that is sparkling grape juice. We like to "act" fancy at our family gatherings. It is rare and akward if anyone pulls out the hard stuff, since very few in the family partake!
